The Blue Dragon women’s basketball team hasn’t lost since Dec. 2 in a game against Coffeyville.

During the month of January, the Dragons have beaten Pratt, Cowley College by four-points, Butler by 15 points, and Dodge City by 52 points.

The Dragons beat Colby by 31 points in Colby on Jan. 16.

The score was 85-54.

Leading the Dragons to the win was leading scorer Taylor Stahly, Newton, with 22 points.

Behind Stahly was Kyla Williams, New Orleans, Louisiana, with 14 points and 11 rebounds, accomplishing her first career double-double.

Lakin Preisner, Americus, also posted her first career double-double with 14 points and a season high of 10 rebounds.

Preisner added six assists and three steals.

Hutch out-rebounded their opponents 48-23 and were also 100% from the foul line with 15 out of 15.

To kick off the game, Hutch jumped out to a 24-8 lead at the end of the first quarter after a 16-0 run.

The Dragons held the lead through the end.

Hutch pushed the lead through the second quarter to 20 while overcoming six turnovers.

The score was 40-20.

Hutch lead the game 45-25 at halftime.

In the third quarter, the Dragons pushed their lead to 22 points with a score of 63-41.

Over the first five minutes of the final quarter, the Dragons held their opponents from scoring and took a 31-point lead.

The score was 72-41.

Daisha Terry, Macon, Georgia, knocked down two threes back-to-back to aid the Dragons 75-44 with five minutes left.

The Dragons won the game 85-54.

The Dragons are scheduled to take on their rivals of Seward County on Wednesday, Jan. 20 in the Sports Arena.

The game kicks off at 5 p.m.
