The Lady Dragon volleyball team played in the MSU-West Plains tournament in Missouri during the weekend of Oct. 9-10.

The Dragons lost two matches and won two.

On Oct. 10, Hutch played Jefferson College and Miami-Dade and won.

For the Jefferson College game, the scores were 15-25, 30-28, 23-25, 25-19, and 15-12.

The Dragons had just came from losing two matches the day before, so after losing the first set Hutch knew they needed to pick it up.

Jai Chapman, Liberal, had a big match to help the Dragons edge out Jefferson College.

Chapman had 17 kills and a career-high of 32 digs.

MacKenzie Campbell, Denver, Colorado, also had 17 kills.

Another big help in the game was Aubrey Wilson, Bennington.

Wilson had 14 kills, six block assists, and 23 set assists.

Tarynn Stueder, Great Bend, added 35 assists and four service aces.

During the Miami-Dade game, the Dragons won, and the scores were 25-21, 25-22, and 25-22.

A big contributor in the game was Petra Silic, Zagreb, Croatia, who had a career-high of six service aces.

The Dragons had a season-high of 14 service aces.

In the first set, the Dragons had a 10-point run to help them win the game.

On Oct. 9, the Dragons played Wallace State and MSU-West Plains and lost.

The Dragons are scheduled to be back at home on Oct. 17 and 19.

On Oct. 17, the Dragons are scheduled to play Cloud County at 2 p.m. and on Oct. 19 they are scheduled to play Pratt.
