On the night of Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, in Las Vegas, the Route 91 country music festival was coming to a close. Jason Aldean was finishing up his performance when Stephen Paddock opened fire from a neighboring hotel, injuring more than 600 people, and killing 58.
Oct. 6, 2021 is a day that will go down in history. It was on this day that the world came to a near end, almost as close as we came in 2012.
I am a huge believer in carpe diem. Cheesy, I know, but life is short so we truly need to make the most out of the time we have.

The Hutchinson Community College tennis courts are an eyesore. The fence around them is covered in dead vines, of the five courts two of them don’t have nets, and the surface is covered in long stretches of canyon-like cracks that run right through the courts.
With Covid-19 outbreaks, busy lives, living far from home, and downright loneliness, it isn’t uncommon for college students to become depressed.
