An all-clear, regarding a bomb threat on HutchCC’s main campus, came 56 minutes after the initial report.
Alerts sent to Hutchinson Community College faculty members were sent at 9:58 a.m. reporting a bomb threat on the main campus. In the initial alert, faculty members and students were ordered to shelter in place. At 10 a.m. an update was posted saying that authorities are on campus investigating the report.
Students and faculty have been ordered to remain in place. HutchCC’s main campus is on lockdown.
Students were alerted of the threat at 10:14 a.m., which was the alert previously sent to faculty. Hutchinson High School is also now in lockdown.
An all-clear was issued at 10:54 a.m., instructing classes and activities to go on as scheduled.
