The Hutchinson track team competed at Pittsburg State University in the 8th Annual David Suenram Gorilla Classic on April 16.
On the men’s side, Orser Rodriguez, Harlingen, Texas, finished in fourth place in the 1500 meters with a time of 4 minutes 6 seconds.
In the 400 meter-hurdles, Matt Willis, Newton, finished in fourth with a time of 55.55 seconds and Weston Riner, Pratt, finished in fifth with a time of 55.63 seconds.
Forrest Dreyer, Salina, finished in fifth in the 3000 meter-steeplechase and qualified for Nationals.
Anthony Cisneros, Gardner, finished in fourth in the javelin with a throw of 190 feet and 7 inches.
On the women’s side, Keagan Davis, Wichita, finished in fifth in the 1500 meters with a time of 5 minutes 10 seconds.
Karis Parker, Wichita, finished fifth in the 100 meter-hurdles with a time of 15 seconds.
Jaclyn Melillo, Wichita, finished fourth in javelin with a throw of 129 feet 2 inches.
The track team will be competing at Tabor College in Hillsboro, April, 23.
