The Blue Dragon Cross Country team ran in their home meet at the Terry Masterson Classic at Westar/Prairie Ridge Park on Sept. 12.

For the women, the only Dragon runner that placed within the top 20 was Angela Lingg, Goddard.

Lingg finished 15th with a time of 22:01.

Other Hutch runners who placed were: Keagan Davis, Wichita, placed 21st with a time of 22:24, Katy Spencer, Andale, ended 27th with a time of 23:04, Angelica Soria, Topeka, placed 29th, Jessica Yenni, Norman, Oklahoma, placed 32nd.

Also Branda Cole, Hutchinson, and Krista Jenkins, Derby, finished 35th overall, which helped edge the Lady Dragons to take 5th place over Garden City.

For the men, Forrest Deyer placed 2nd with a time of 27:43.

Just behind Deyer was Orser Rodriguez, Harlingen, Texas, who placed 3rd with a time of 27:56.

The rest of the Dragons places started off with Mark Meyer, Wichita Collegiate, who finished 12th with a time of 29:19, Hunter Nance, Wichita, placed 17th with a time of 29:41, and Tyler Balsters, Belle Plaine, placed 20th with a time of 29:58.

Other Dragon players that placed were Lorenzo Castaneda, Harlingen, Texas, who finished 21st with a time of 30:07, Reno Farris, Cheney, placed 24th, and Lloyd Chin, West Palm Beach, Florida, placed 33rd.

The Dragon men and women are scheduled to compete at the Cowboy Jamboree at Oklahoma State on Sept. 26.
