The Blue Dragon women’s basketball team is ready to go for its spring season after COVID-19 shut down last year’s season.
HutchCC All-American Abby Ogle was the first Blue Dragon on the women’s 2020 team to sign. The 5-foot-8 guard from Baldwin shot 59.3 percent from the field, the best in the conference.
The cancellations of the spring seasons left athletes at HutchCC feeling the impact of COVID-19.

The 2020 NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball Championship allows eight at-large bids to enter the tournament, reserved for teams that don’t win one of the 16 automatic bids. Just as it occurred last season, the HutchCC women’s basketball team earned one of those spots.
