1 responseKansas Gov. Laura Kelly announced Tuesday that the Kansas Department of Labor received 55,000 new unemployment claims last week. Kelly issued an executive order which doubled the unemployment benefit amount and removed barriers from claimants receiving them.
The order directs residents to stay at home and leave only to perform essential activities and requires non-essential businesses to cease operation at their physical places of business.
