In this time of trick-or-treating and dressing up, some students take the time to reflect on the lives of their loved ones in a special tradition called Dia de Los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead. This special night is celebrated by most of the Hispanic community as a form of remembrance of their past loved ones.

This celebration isn’t limited to their culture. It is encouraged to create a memorial for a loved one and celebrate their life.

At Hutchinson Community College, the school’s history starts all the way back in 1928, almost 100 years ago. There has been a plethora of students within those years who have paved a way for their life after attending HutchCC. Not only students, but also faculty and staff that have helped build up HutchCC.

Even though not everyone is listed, students and staff are welcome to remember the lives of those before them.
