During Thursday’s Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees meeting, College President Carter File, announced his retirement. His retirement will be effective August 31, 2024.
The board accepted File’s retirement.
File was promoted to President of HutchCC in 2014 after serving as Vice President of Finance and Operations for eight years prior.
In an email sent to HutchCC campus, he wrote,
“It has been my greatest professional and personal experience to lead this outstanding institution and the people who make it up,” File said.
“HutchCC is such a special place that it is with a fair amount of sadness that I will be leaving. Thank you, to each of you, for all that you do for our students and the community. As always, Go Blue Dragons and keep being True Blue.”
