Once again, the Hutchinson Community College Theatre Department will be hosting a 24 Hour Play Festival.
Over a period of 24 hours, six 10-minute plays will be written, directed and performed all by students.
Twenty-four actors auditioned the afternoon of February 1, and six playwrights, six directors, and six theatre technicians for the six plays applied for their respective roles. All of these students will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 9 and create all six plays, create sets, make costumes, and rehearse before the 24 hour deadline.
Students are still welcomed to join for any potentially open positions by contacting Deidre Mattox of the Fine Arts and Humanities Department
Final productions will be held on February 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the BJ Warner Recital Hall. Hutch CC students and faculty with ID are free. For the general public, tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $5 for students outside of HCC. For more information about tickets and the venue, contact the Box Office at 620-665-3503.
