The Hutchinson Community College softball team went 1-1 against Rose State College last Friday, in Oklahoma. The Blue Dragons won game one easy, by a final score of 4-0 but struggled in game two, losing by the final score of 6-2.
The Blue Dragons had no trouble scoring in game one against the Raiders. Raven Bass and Shelby Felvus each drove in runs for the Blue Dragons. Kiara DeCrane had two RBIs for the Blue Dragons. D.J. Cannon pitched all seven innings, allowing no runs from the Raiders in game one.
In game two, DeCrane was the only one to drive in runs for the Blue Dragons. Pitcher Destiny Shculze allowed two runs but no earned runs and also had two strikeouts. Pitcher Megan Davis allowed four runs and four earned runs from the Raiders.
The Blue Dragons’ next game will be today, at Garden City Community College, starting at 2 p.m.
