On the road again, the Blue Dragon softball team played a doubleheader against Garden City on March 15.

The Dragons won both games; the scores were 18-2 and 19-12.

In the second game, the Dragons were able to score a run and Garden City scored three runs at the bottom of the first inning.

The Dragons were finally able to score two at the top of the third inning after a line drive by Holly Kelley, Cypress, Texas.

The score was 2-5.

As Hutch was up to bat again at the top of the fourth inning, they scored three more runs to pull within one of their opponents, 5-6.

At the top of the fifth inning, the Dragons were finally able to take the lead, 8-7, but they didn’t stop there.

Hutch scored five more runs to push their lead 13-7.

After stopping Garden City from scoring, the Dragons scored two more at the top of the sixth, 15-7.

Garden City scored three more runs to come within five, 15-10.

The Dragons closed out their turn at bat with four more runs, 19-10.

Hutch won the game 19-2 to complete the doubleheader sweep.

Hutch also faced off against the Bethany JV on March 10 and won both games of the doubleheader.

The scores were 10-0 and 12-2.

In the first game, the Dragons held their opponents scoreless and only allowed two runs in the second game.

The Dragons are scheduled to play two home games at Fun Valley.

In the first game they are scheduled to play a doubleheader against Highland on Friday, March 18. The games kick of at 2 p.m.

They are also set to play Kansas City on March 19, at the same field.

The twin bill kicks off at 1 p.m.
