The Blue Dragon softball team’s season started on Feb. 11 when they faced Pratt at home and won both games.
Since then, the Dragons have lost to Dodge City in a double-header and swept Friends JV in the double-header.
The Dragons played the Friends JV on Feb. 18 and won. The scores were 12-5 and 9-6.
The first game only lasted five innings due to the run-rule.
Holly Kelley, Cypress, Texas, struck out eight batters and only allowed three hits and walked one.
Kelley threw four shutout innings before her opponents were able to get a hit off.
Hutch averaged two runs per inning besides a five-run third inning.
The Dragons won the game 12-5.
At the bottom of the first inning of game two, the Dragons were behind 0-4.
Hutch remained behind after two full and one half innings.
The Dragons took the lead during the fourth inning, 8-6.
In game two, the Dragons hit a season-high of 13 hits.
The Dragons are scheduled to play Oklahoma Wesleyan University JV in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, on March 2.
