Dear Hannah, What does your family think about your column?

Dear reader, I think my family was a little shocked at first.

I really didn’t come out of my shell and discover my personality until last year.

My family does get a little concerned by some of my comments, but overall they are pleased to see that I have discovered what I am good at, which is writing and being brutally honest.

My family does worry sometimes that my comments will get me into trouble, but they are proud of me, anyway.

Dear Hannah, What is your favorite class?

Dear student, My favorite class here at HCC would have to be death and dying.

I like this class because it is interesting to see everyone’s view on death and its aftermath.

I also like all the arguing and controversy that seems to unravel with each class period.

The class taught me that not everyone has common sense and that not everyone is blessed with the virtue of tasteful thinking.

But it was nice to learn what will happen to me after I die.

Dear Hannah, What should I do if I am failing a class?

Dear failure, I would start with studying but if your grade is super low I suggest that withdraw so you don’t carry that F with you.

Failing is not an option in my book, if you try, put in the extra work and show up to class everyday on time you will be ok.

Like I have mentioned before, “Hustle hard until your haters are asking if you are hiring.”

Our library here at HCC does offer tutoring services for almost every class here; I would utilize the tools you are given to ensure success.

Dear Hannah, Are you going to walk at graduation?

Dear fan, Heck yes I’m going to walk!

I’ve worked hard to get where I am today.

Two years ago I would never have imagined that I would be where I am today.

Seizures made my life very difficult for a while, but I would later outgrow them and my life soon took a U-turn for the better.

Walking at graduation is what keeps me going on my bad days; it gives me something to work for and look forward to as well.

I am grateful for the education I have earned here at HCC.

I am ready to see what else life holds for my future career and for me.
