The college will “be there for you” during Homecoming Week, Feb. 8 to Feb. 13.
The activities for the week will be based on the TV show “Friends,” a young-adult sitcom that had a 10-year run, ending in 2004. It remains popular in reruns.
The week begins with prelim voting on Monday located on Dragonzone under Campus Life.
This event will be followed by a “Friends” selfie contest that lasts through noon on Friday.
The next activity, “We Were on a Break” skate night, is on Tuesday, Feb. 8 from 8:30 to10:30 p.m. at Skateland Skate Center, just north of Kmart.
Most of the activities will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 9, beginning with the student assembly at the Sports Arena from 10:30 to 11:20 a.m.
Following the assembly will be final voting, beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday and continuing until noon Thursday.
Wednesday night will include a “Central Perks” coffee and live music event at Metropolitan Coffee, at 17th and Lorraine. This event will last from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
The “How you Doin’?” dance will be on Thursday night from 9:45 to 12 p.m. at the Domestic Arts Building at the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
Friday there will be an ice cream sundae bar in the Parker Student Union foyer from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
The week concludes with the women’s and men’s basketball games at the Sports Arena.
The women’s game begins at 5:30 p.m. against the Lady T-Birds and the men’s game begins at 7:30 p.m. against the Seward T-Birds.
Homecoming King and Queen crowning will occur during half-time of the men’s game.
