For the 11th time in a row the Lady Dragons soccer team advanced to the regional semifinal.
The Dragons earned their fourth shutout in a row and ninth shutout of the season with a 5-0 victory over Cowley County on October 31.
Hutch’s first goal came just 5 minutes into the game from Renee Gillespie, Wichita, scoring her 12th goal of the season.
Just five minutes following Gillespie, Aleise Williams, Manhattan, scored off an assist from Jordan Downing, Hutchinson.
Courtney Boswell, Wichita, also landed a beautiful header off a free kick from Olivia Chan, Manchester, England.
Camia Blash, Waynesville, Missouri, who hasn’t scored in 15 regular season games landed a pair of goals.
The first one came from an assist from Georgia Warren, Wexford, Ireland.
Her second goal found the upper 90 for the final goal of the game.
The Dragons out shot Cowley 24-7.
The Dragons will take on the second seed Johnson County on Thursday, Oct. 7, in Kansas City.
