The Blue Dragons baseball team played the Fort Scott Greyhounds on Feb. 20 in Hutch at Hobart-Detter Field and won both games of the double header. In the first game, the Dragons won 10-6. Then they won 5-4.

Over the beginning of the season the Dragons are 2-1 against Coffeeville, 1-2 against Rose State College, and 2-0 against Fort Scott.

Overall the Dragons are 5-3. They started the season on Feb. 7.

The first game against Fort Scott, the Dragons built a lead of 3-1, through four innings. The Greyhounds responded with a five-run inning, putting them ahead 6-3.

The Dragons went three innings without scoring, but made a seven-run sixth inning, putting the Dragons ahead, 10-6. The Dragons won the first game.

As the second game went on, the Dragons and the Greyhounds both had three-run third innings. At the top of the final inning, the seventh, the game was tied 4-4. The Dragons scored the final run of the night and won 5-4.

They are scheduled to play a double header, Saturday, Feb. 28, against Longview College at 2 p.m. at home, at Hobart-Detter, in Carey Park.
