“Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally” is Harry Styles’ fourth and latest album, which was released March 6.

This album has 12 songs, ranging from funky pop sounds to soft reflective lyrics, but it delivers on what it set out to do – be an album about love while also reminding you to disco occasionally.
The album opens up with his single “Aperture” which is a song that you can’t help but bounce your head along to. Though, in comparison to the rest of the album, it could be the weakest point, though don’t let that undermine that the song is still great.
“American Girls” and “Season 2 Weight Loss” are definitely some of my favorites on the album. They both have great evolution as the song goes on, while again keeping that funky head-bopping vibe going. Something that really draws me into a song is when the lyrics are sad but the backing instrumentals are exciting, almost disguising the meaning of the song, which “Season 2 Weight Loss” excels in.
Styles is constantly asking “do you love me now?”, “Did I let you down?” all while having a great drum backing and some really cool synths.
There are two songs that stand out on the album: “Are You Listing Yet?”, which delves into more self love and understanding. Styles keeps asking if you’re listening to the voices in your head and heart. “Ready, Steady, Go!” is a story about a toxic relationship where Styles is being used and played by a partner, calling him different names, touching him and making him feel like it’s love, only for it to be the same toxic cycle. It also has a super fun xylophone-type instrument that comes in near the end that kind of tickles my brain every time I hear it.
“Taste Back” is such a sweet song about caring for someone who is so close to you that you almost speak a different language only you two can understand while they’re struggling. Love is such a powerful thing, even with losing your taste, falling into alcohol, or struggling in general, just having a little love can help.
I played the violin for about seven years, so anytime a song has a full symphony, I’m instantly hooked. The song “Coming Up Roses” is that song, full of beautiful strings that swell in such an emotional way that it only emphasises the sadness of the lyrics.
Then right after that, Styles brings you back to the second part of the title of the album with “Pop and Dance No More” with some of the most fun songs on the album, which I can’t help but dance to. Only to slam you back into the sadness with “Paint By Numbers”, which is a beautiful song with Styles reflecting on his life, and in turn, you doing the same.
Finally, my personal favorite, “Carla’s Song”. This one makes me think of my girlfriend, Ashleigh. It’s such a beautiful song, full of the symbolism of love and acceptance and giving that to someone. I know what you like, I can read your mind, though I don’t have to because I know you inside and out.
I could say a lot about this song on its own, but all in all, this album was an amazing collage of love, sadness, and dancing, and I cannot wait to listen to this for years to come.
