On Thursday, the Sports Arena will host the Career Connections Fair, open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The fair is in its 10th year (excluding 2020 due to the COVID-19 lockdowns), with 119 employers this year, with the possibility of more.
These employers give a wide variety of opportunities, including entry-level, health care, skilled labor, administrative, manufacturing, and more.
Hutchinson Community College students will have many opportunities for learning here, whether a student is looking for an employer to work for, or just exploring options for future ideas, or just getting to learn a little about what different fields of work are like.
It’s also a chance for students to learn about internships, discover what skills and qualifications are needed in certain work fields, as well as be able to begin building a professional network.
Also, if students attend the career fair and fill out a survey in their info packets, they have the chance to win prizes, like a $200 Visa gift card, a 50-inch smart TV, AirPods, an Xbox and more.
The fair is a good opportunity for students to get information on future careers, practice talking with employers in a professional setting, and many students in past years have left with job leads, interview opportunities, and even same-day offers.
