Gamestop in the 2020s is stopping

Gamestop has been around since the dinosaur ages, when there were T-Rexes and wooly mammoths walking around. If you were to ask any true gamer in the 20th century they would say “I waited hours for that new game to come out on pre-order”

Gaming has been around for years due to many different factors, but buying physical copies of games isn’t needed anymore. Everything is going digital in this day and age.

Digital games are cool and all but you don’t get the physical experience like you would buying the brand new copy of the game that you have been waiting for.

Games are going digital, so digital that they started taking out user manuals on how to play the game inside.

Deals are better online. You look online and games can be reasonably priced compared to going into your local Gamestop and buying that pre-owned game. Deals are usually only brought up around Christmas and black Friday, but that’s only for the used games, never new.

Gamestop needs a new look, new design and possibly a new brand name. Gamestop is not known in the 2020s. They need to make a new name for themselves to step up their brand and attract a new audience looking for a fun new redesign that gamestop has needed for years now.

The quality is not as good as it used to be. People run fake games (pirated games) all the time to Gamestop, and they usually get passed through and sold.[1]  Fake games should never be in production especially if you are spending an arm and a leg to get the “Super Mario” game that you have always wanted and it turns out to be a fake.

Retro games and consoles are never carried anymore. Gamestop has always been known for their retro games and retro style of games and once again they struggle to carry those.

Gamestop isn’t really a one-stop shop for used games anymore. Some games they can’t and won’t sell anymore because of the age of that game. Prices for used games can be so expensive that it’s just better off to buy a brand new game.

Online is a one way stop for everything you need at Gamestop they have retro, used, new, consoles and more. More reasons to make you want to go online and shop for that new game because going to Gamestop in person usually doesn’t have the best results for you.
