Having an alarm set for the morning is common for about 80% of adults according to Quora. Whether they use an alarm clock or their smartphone, they have an alarm set for in the morning to wake up to.

Of that 80%, 57% of that group use the snooze feature or they have set multiple alarms, and 85% of people who use an alarm, have the alarm set on a smartphone.
How do people at Hutchinson Community College get up in the morning? Through a series of alarms, or do they hit snooze 10 times? Are they heavy sleepers who need a loud alarm, or do they have a calm alarm to wake up to?
Before Blue Dragons go to sleep, where do they keep their phone or alarm clock for the night? Next to the bed or across the room?
Many students and staff here at HutchCC have alarms set to help them wake up in the morning. Many students and staff use their phones to set alarms. When using a phone to set an alarm, they can choose many different sounds for an alarm.
For example, someone can pick a sound that mimics chaos and sirens. There are other more calming alarms, if someone wishes not to jolt awake and would rather wake up to a soft, calm alarm.
Many HutchCC students and staff said they only have one or two alarms set, but not to ask them how many times they might snooze that alarm. Other students said they have three to four alarms in case they turn the first alarm off and go back to sleep.
“Having more than one alarm would confuse me on when to actually get up, so I just set one alarm when I absolutely have to get up,” said Dodge City freshman Aiden Haskell.
Other students set an alarm before bed depending on their schedule for the next day.
“I only set one or two because my roommate is usually up, so I know to get up and get ready,” said Turon freshman Auburne Katz.
Many HutchCC students have many different ways to start their day. Whether it be with a loud obnoxious alarm, or a soft and calm alarm, these students and staff are setting their alarms to be ready and on time for class and work.
