Long-time Hutchinson Community College supporters, Terry and Dee Bisbee, are helping facilitate educational opportunities for future Blue Dragon students by donating $100,000 for scholarships and support for college programs.
Terry Bisbbee graduated from HutchCC in 1968 and resides on the college’s Board of Trustees. The Bisbees have been longtime supporters of the college.
The pair’s donation will be split amongst several different HutchCC programs, including fine arts, athletics, as well as an endowment for Presidential and Leadership scholarships that will be given to those who demonstrate a commitment to leadership and service within the community.
“HutchCC opened doors for me, and it’s an honor to help open doors for future students,” said Terry Bisbee in a press release. “This scholarship is about investing in students who are willing to lead, serve, and make a positive impact, both while they’re at HutchCC and long after they graduate.”
HutchCC Endowment Association Director, Cindy Keast, also said in the press release, “Their generosity will have a lasting impact by empowering students, strengthening our programs, and helping ensure access and excellence for years to come.”
There is currently no released timeline on when these scholarships will become available to students.
