Halloween is no longer just a holiday made for kids to take candy from strangers. There are plenty of activities that people of all ages can partake in. College students may be too old to go trick-or-treating, but there are still many activities in the Hutchinson area that allow young adults to celebrate the holliday.

Little Train of Horror

The Hutchinson Zoo will have a haunted train, available from 6-8:30 p.m. on Oct. 24-25. For $6 a person, guests get to experience fun, while also taking part in a fundraising event that gives back to Hutchinson Friends of the Zoo and the Hutchinson High Thespian Club.

Fox Theatre Halloween Film Series

For several days throughout the remainder of the month, the Fox Theatre is showing Halloween movies for $5 a person. Movies include “Hocus Pocus”, “Nosferatu”, “Carrie”, and more.

Adult Ghost Hunt: All Hallows Eve

For $30 a person, those 18 and older can go on a haunted ghost tour through the Reno County Museum from 7:30 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 31.

P & M Pumpkin Patch

Located in Moundridge, P & M Pumpkin Patch offers plenty of activities. General admission starts at $16.99, which allows guests a day full of activities.

Field of Screams

Field of Screams is a Wichita staple. Thursdays through Sundays, the haunted attractions tickets start at $25 a person. This trail takes about 40 minutes to complete.

Starlite Drive-In

Wichita’s drive-in movie theater has started their annual Fright Fest, showing double features of some of the most well known horror movies, almost every weekend of October. Upcoming showings include “Leatherface” and “Nightmare on Elm Street”.

Rocky Picture Horror Show

Roxy’s Theatre in Wichita has several live performances of the classic “Rocky Picture Horror Show” for every weekend of October. Most shows start at 7:30 p.m., for $42 a person, as well as limited midnight showings.

Zombie Paintball

On Oct. 25 Klausmeyer Farm is hosting Halloween themed paintball events from 7-10 p.m. For $20, attendees get 100 paintballs to shoot at live zombies.
