Jordan Galliher, Softball
The week: Galliher got her collegiate career off to a memorable start. Pitching in her first game as a Blue Dragon on Feb. 12 in Wichita, Galliher tossed a perfect game in Hutchinson’s 9-0 win against Allen County. The game ended after five innings due to the eight-run mercy rule. She faced 15 batters, striking out seven. She retired the other eight on four grounders and four fly outs. Thanks in part to that performance, Galliher was named Jayhawk Conference and NJCAA national player of the week.
The season: Galliher, a Hutchinson freshman who attended Trinity Catholic, has featured in several games this season.
