The Hutchinson Community College baseball team went 0-2 against Colby Community College this past Saturday in Colby. The Blue Dragons struggled to get on the scoreboard in game one against Colby, losing by the score of 5-1.
Bobby Morgensen went to bat three times for the Blue Dragons and managed to get the Blue Dragons on the scoreboard. Pitcher Miguel Reyes Jr. allowed eight hits, five runs and earned runs. Reyes Jr. allowed no walks and three strike outs.
The Blue Dragons also lost in game two to Colby, falling 12-9.
This time around Wyatt Divis, Dylan Nedved, Logan Sartori, Zion Bowlin and Scott Wolverton all drove in runs for the Blue Dragons. However, Colby had an answer to every single run the Blue Dragons scored.
Colby won the Jayhawk West-opening series from the Blue Dragons, winning three of the four games.
The Blue Dragons were on the road Thursday at Cloud County, and will host Cloud County at 1 p.m. Saturday.
